Why I Built AOF.gg

Hi, I'm Bo.

AOF.gg grew out of two situations every gamer knows all too well.

First is the typical evening on Discord. You get together with friends to play, spend an hour comparing libraries, debating who owns what, how big the download is, and what to launch — and end up calling it a night without playing a single game.

Second is finding reliable game information. You want to quickly check a patch date, upcoming releases, or news for the games you play without filler or clickbait, and instead you end up with ten open tabs, ad-heavy wikis, and endless Discord channels where the answer was buried days ago.

I got tired of keeping all of this scattered across different sites, so in my spare time after work I started building AOF.gg — first for myself and my friends, so we could see our shared games in a couple of clicks, pick a co-op game for the evening, and read a clean news feed.

The project is constantly evolving. If you notice an error, an inaccurate stat, or have an idea for what the platform is missing — send a note through the feedback form and I'll look into it and fix it.
